Planes, ferry boats and automobiles...

Mt. Washington Alpine Resort is located 30 mins north of the Comox Valley, and 1.5 hours from Nanaimo where the Departure Bay ferry from North Vancouver is located, on beautiful Vancouver Island. We are easily accessible via Highway 1 and through the Comox International Airport. The Strathcona Parkway roads are maintained by MainRoads North Island. View road information and updates from Drive BC.
Mount Washington Alpine Resort has a Ski & Ride Shuttle Bus available December-April to everyone travelling to and from the Comox Valley to Mount Washington on a daily basis during the winter ski season. Pickup and drop off locations are located throughout the Comox Valley, and no advance reservations are required.
Catch a ferry if you’re travelling from the mainland to Vancouver Island and not flying. The West Vancouver to Nanaimo (Horseshoe Bay-Departure Bay) ferry takes about 1:40 hours and has about 11 schedules per day. This is particularly ideal if you’re coming from north of Vancouver.

Another main ferry route is the Vancouver to Nanaimo ferry (Tsawwassen-Duke Point) which takes 2 hours and has about 8 schedules a day.
There are many ways to get to Mount Washington, whether you're a local or coming from off Vancouver Island! View more below for local Shuttle Bus information, maps and more.

All vehicles and drivers must be prepared for variable winter road conditions while travelling to and from Mount Washington. Carpooling is encouraged.
