1979, the year Mount Washington Alpine Resort first welcomed guests to our slopes. Also, the year a true legend of the workforce began his career. Dave Page, has been snowcat grooming this mountain long before any of us had even been born! 47 years in fact, and doesn’t show any signs of hanging up his snowcat keys.
The Man Behind the Corduroy
All that beautifully groomed corduroy our guests and staff get to enjoy… you bet Dave has had an influence on that. And prior to Mount Washington, Dave also worked at Forbidden Plateau for a number of years before migrating over to his current role. His knowledge and wisdom has been passed down season after season, with newer staff reaping the rewards of working with such a distinguished individual.
Celebrating Dave’s 70th Birthday
Last week, Dave celebrated his 70th birthday, surrounded by close workmates and management. A number of vintage photographs were dug up, some dating back to 1982, of old machinery Dave used to pilot.
70 and still going strong! Thank you, Dave, for all your years of service at Mt Washington. Your dedication and longevity is truly admirable.
