Mount Washington Alpine Resort is Vancouver Island’s coastal playground. The resort features a main lodge serving as the central hub for visitors and offering various amenities and guest services during winter and summer operations. A meeting place for community action, you’re likely to run into someone you know when walking around the lodge!
The Alpine Lodge provides facilities to enhance guest experiences, and the lodge is also home to our staff offices and work areas. Here are some features commonly found in Mount Washington’s main lodge:

The Mount Washington Alpine Lodge is our community hub for all the action. Find public facilities, food and beverage locations, retail stores, guest service locations and our team office all housed under this one snowy roof.
From the main lobby to the Marmots Floor, to the Snow Sports tunnel and beyond, navigate your way around the building utilizing signage and a keen sense of adventure; with the Alpine Lodge you’ll find something around every corner. Expect lots of stairs throughout the Lodge, with some accessibility improvements coming soon in the future.

Ticket Windows
During the winter our Alpine Lodge ticket windows are located outside of the Alpine Lodge at the building entrance. If the ticket windows are closed, visit the retail store Outdoor Elements inside or head down to the lessons and rental desk in the Snow Sports area. The Hawk Chairlift also has a ticket kiosk located outside.
In the summer months between June–September pick up tickets for the Bike Park, the ZipTour ziplining experience and the Scenic Chairlift ride inside Outdoor Elements gift shop.

Retail Shop
A large innovative ski shop, Outdoor Elements features outerwear, skis and snowboards from Rossignol. The shop also carries a large selection of lifestyle clothes, outerwear and gear from other popular brands like Burton, Helly Hansen, The North Face, Dakine, Smith, Coal Headwear, and Bula.
The Corner Store is a one-stop shop inside Outdoor Elements. Ideal when staying here on the mountain! Inside, you will find basic groceries, snacks, a walk-in beer cooler and a great selection of wine and spirits. Plus, all the retail goodies, of course.
Alpine Gear Rentals
The Experience Centre
The Rossignol Experience Centre rents everything needed for a fun day on the slopes. Full packages including skis/snowboard, boots and poles, are available to rent. Daily as well as seasonal rentals are available.
Book your rentals in advance online, before you arrive at the resort. Add on your lift ticket with your rentals in the shopping cart!
Tip: Save time by picking up your gear ahead of time, after 3pm for the next day at no additional cost. You can also add your lift ticket to your online rental booking!

Here at Mount Washington, we strive to offer fresh, local ingredients for our in-house-made delights. From locally roasted organic coffees, Vancouver Island craft beer, unique burgers to our famous fries, you’ll never leave hungry! Now serving more gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options; dairy-free poutine, anyone? Come enjoy a bite after your mountain adventures and enjoy a relaxing, community atmosphere.
Winter food and beverage locations on the mountain include Ted’s Bar & Grill, Eagle View Bistro, Alpine Cafeteria, The Cantina, Raven Lodge, and take-away mobile order options.

The Rossignol Demo Centre
Ski the best selection of all-mountain, powder and carving skis and boards available from Rossignol from The Demo Centre. Located conveniently next to the Alpine Lodge and Eagle Chairlift, the Rossignol Demo Centre is also your stop for gear tuning, repair, and boot fitting services.
Guests are welcome to come in and learn about the technology behind skis, snowboards and boots. A fleet of all-new Rossignol demo skis and snowboards is available to take out for a test ride. Professional boot fitting and repair services will help keep your gear riding smoothly all season.
The Demo Centre also caters to first-time skiers and snowboarders with a full range of beginner-specific gear designs to make learning to turn easy.
