Helly Hansen
From our home in Norway, Helly Hansen has been making professional grade gear to help people stay and feel alive for more than 140 years. It all started in 1877 when sea captain Helly Juell Hansen found a better way to stay protected from the harsh Norwegian elements. Soon thereafter, Captain Hansen and his wife Margrethe launched a business producing waterproof oilskin jackets, trousers, sou’westers and tarpaulins made from coarse linen soaked in linseed oil – and the legend was born

Quality Foods
1982 Ken Schley, John Briuolo and Noel Hayward, all in their mid-twenties, discovered the present Qualicum Beach location and soon after, Qualicum Foods opened. Then in 1986, the addition of partner Bruce Robertson resulted in the first Quality Foods store in Parksville.

Passionate, member-run clubs that call Mount Washington home — from adaptive snowsports to freestyle, racing, Nordic and snowboarding.
VI Adaptive Snow Sports Club
Known today as the Vancouver Island Society for Adaptive Snowsports (VISAS), the program has grown in recent years to a strong and dedicated team of over 100 volunteers/instructors enthusiastically supported by the MWAR operations staff. Visit Club
MW Freestyle Club
Freestyle Mount Washington is a member-operated local club that offers freestyle skiing programs, aimed at the expanding freestyle scene, for both the recreational and competitive skier, from beginner to aspiring international competitor. Visit Club
Mt. Washington Ski Club (MWSC)
Mt. Washington Ski Club (MWSC) is a vibrant family-oriented community where skiers ages 6 to young adults come to train, race, and grow. Grounded in Alpine Canada’s Long-Term Athlete Development model, our weekend programs build strong technical skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of the mountain. With an energized volunteer culture and a welcoming slopeside cabin, MWSC brings passionate skiing families together. Visit Club
Strathcona Nordics Club
We are Vancouver Island’s regional cross-country ski club based at Mount Washington Alpine Resort on the doorstep of Strathcona Provincial Park near Courtenay, B.C. We ski on a network of 55 km of groomed and trackset ski trails, managed and maintained by Mount Washington and covering a variety of terrain to satisfy both “the beginner and the expert skier and everyone in between.” Visit Club

The Coast Club is the premier snowboard program on Vancouver Island. Our club supports athletes who want to take their snowboarding to the next level.
