Welcome to the sport of cross-country skiing! This discounted lesson, rental and trail pass package is for those completely new to the sport of cross-country skiing! Discover lessons are available for both classic and skate skiing. However we highly recommend completing a classic lesson before trying skate.

CLASSIC: This introduction to classic skiing covers how to get up, move on the flats, snowplow to control speed down a small hill and herringbone to climb a small hill. At the end of this lesson, you will be able to successfully ski a Green trail on classic skis.

SKATE: Learn beginner skate ski techniques. The student will understand the skills and techniques to get up a hill and move along the flats. Skills include free skate, one skate and diagonal skate. It is strongly recommended that students have experience with classic skiing before taking a skate ski lesson.

Includes: 1.5-hour lesson, full-day trail pass, and rentals

This next step beginner group lesson, rental and trail pass package for those who have taken our Discover Cross-Country Skiing lesson and looking to continue working on those beginner skills and techniques before progressing to a level 1 group lesson.

Mount Washington’s Learn to Glide program is a combination of 3 of our most successful and popular lesson programs to help you get out on the trails faster and with more confidence. We have combined our Discover Cross-Country Skiing package with 2 of our group lessons.

lease note: Packages are available for classic or skate style cross-country skiing. Disciplines cannot be combined within one Learn to Glide package. This program is for anyone who is new to the sport of cross- country skiing, in either skate or classic disciplines.

Our group lessons are a great way to improve your skate or classic skiing, in a fun and supportive group environment. Each 1.5-hour lesson will work on techniques that will give you confidence to enjoy your time out on our trails. Includes: 1.5-hour lesson in either classic or skate skiing.

Whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned veteran, a private lesson is the best way to improve your skate or classic techniques. Our private cross-country ski lessons are 1.5-hours long and are scheduled with one of our CANSI-certified instructors

Our group snowshoe tours are a great way for you to enjoy quality time with family and friends. Your guide will lead you on a 1.5-hour trek through our scenic snowshoe trail network on novice-intermediate terrain. Includes: 1.5-hour tour, full-day trail pass, and rentals.
