Introductory Group Lesson

Learn to Ride is an introductory group lesson package tailored to first-time downhill mountain bike riders looking to get a taste of the Bike Park. If you’re comfortable riding a bike on pavement, we’ll have you loving our easy cruising trails and learning areas in no time! Class sizes maximum of 6 guests per group.

Includes:

  • Full-day lift ticket
  • 2-hour lesson
  • 2-hour bike rental*
  • 2-hour armour rental*
Lesson Availability:
  • DAILY at 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm
  • SATURDAY & SUNDAY at 12 pm, 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm
  • Lessons are based on Guide availability

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

Introduction to Position & Balance skills through “Climbing”, “Neutral” and “Ready” positions, as well as how to achieve a good range of movement.

  • Proper braking techniques using both brakes.

Step Up is our follow-up session catered to guests who have completed our Learn to Ride lesson or have little experience in downhill mountain biking (but not for first-timers) and are looking to improve their basic skills and techniques.  

Includes:

  • Full day lift ticket
  • 2-hour lesson
  • 2-hour bike rental*
  • 2-hour armour rental*

Lesson Availability:

  • DAILY at 2:30pm
  • SATURDAY & SUNDAY 12 pm & 2:30 pm
  • Lessons are based on guide availability

Notes:

*Bike & armour is picked and returned at lesson end, upgrade options available.

If someone has already taken this lesson, it is acceptable for them to take it again. However, ensure they are aware of what is taught in the lesson - if their riding skills are above this, the lesson will not be enjoyable for them. Encourage guests who have taken LTR and Step Up to move on to a private lesson for more progression.

Cross Country XC Mtn Biking

Guided Cross Country Ride
For All Skill Levels

If you’re looking for a two-wheeled adventure that consists of less gravity and more pedal power, join our Guided Cross Country Mountain Bike Ride!

This adventure takes you on a 60-90 minute ride (depending on group ability) along the scenic Finger Trail. Don’t forget your water and a good snack because there will be lots of pedaling and even more #selfie worthy views to take in!

Includes:

  • 60-90 Minutes guided XC tour of the Finger Trail (timing is based on rider/group ability)
  • Cross-Country Trail Pass

Availability:

  • DAILY at 12 pm and 2:30 pm
  • THURSDAY - SUNDAY at 5:30 & SATURDAY-SUNDAY at 10 am. 
  • Based on guide availability

Note:

  • Suggested for individuals who are comfortable biking for a sustained time, along beginner-intermediate level cross country terrain
  • Available daily at 12 pm, 2:30 pm & Thurs-Sun at 5:30, as well as Saturdays & Sundays at 10 am. Rides are based on guide availability and must be booked in advance.
  • The Cross-Country guided ride does not use the chair lift
  • Guests may bring their own bikes, recommend at least an XC bike with minimum 20 inch tires- downhill bikes not recommended
  • All bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Fat Bikes do not come in children’s sizing- Rocky Mountain children’s bikes can be rented at the 2 hour or full day rates. Fat Bikes must be pre reserved, not available for walk in.
  • Adult Cross Country Fat Bike rental, outside of guided tour is $29 for 2 hours

FAQ's
What happens to my Bike Pass if the Resort does not open or is closed part way through the season due to the Covid-19 pandemic?
A)   The Mt. Washington Bike Park opens for the season Saturday, June 27, 2020. Season passes are valid for the duration of the season purchased for, regardless of the actual season end date, as opening and closing dates are planned but not guaranteed.  If extreme circumstances do arise resulting in an unexpected closure of the resort, Bike Pass Holder policies will be reassessed and communicated as such.
