Travelling by Ferry

Directions to the Tsawwassen or Departure Bay ferry terminal from (YVR) Vancouver International Airport.

  1. Follow Highway 99 South to Highway 17.
  2. Turn West on Highway 17 and follow it to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal.
  3. Directions to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal.
  4. For Horseshoe Bay, follow Highway 99 North.

Directions to Mount Washington Alpine Resort from Duke Point terminal or Departure Bay terminal.

  1. From Tsawwassen the ferry departs and arrives at the Duke Point terminal, 10 min. south of Naniamo on Vancouver Island.
    1. Head north on Duke Point Hwy toward Inland Island Hwy
    2. Make a right on the Inland Island Hwy and continue north for approx. 75 min.
    3. Turn left on Strathcona Parkway (exit 130) and continue for 18km's.
  2. From North Vancouver the ferry departs the Horseshoe Bay terminal and arrives at the Departure Bay terminal on Vancouver Island.
    1. Head southwest on Stewart Ave toward Brechin Rd
    2. Turn right at Brechin Rd.
    3. Turn right at Island Hwy N
    4. Continue on HWY-19 N/Inland Island Hwy
    5. Turn left on Strathcona Parkway (exit 130) and continue for 18km's.
  3. Directions to Mount Washington Alpine Resort from Powell River (Little River-Westview) terminal to Comox terminal.

    1. From Powell River the ferry departs the ferry terminal at Wharf Street and arrives at the Comox ferry terminal, approximately 40 min. east of Mount Washington Alpine Resort, Vancouver Island.
      1. Head south-east on Ellonor Road and continue onto Anderton Road
      2. Make a right onto Ryan Road for 5km then turn left on the Old Island Hwy continue onto 5th street
      3. Turn right onto Anderton Ave, Anderton Ave turns slightly left and becomes Condensory Rd.
      4. Continue straight onto Dove Creek Rd, turn left to stay on Dove Creek Rd and again turn left to remain on Dove Creek Rd
      5. Continue onto Strathcona Parkway (exit 130) and continue for 18km's.
    2. Mount Washington is located 25 km west of the Comox Valley, 50 km south of Campbell River and 100 km north of Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island.
