Snowshoeing at Mount Washington

Mt. Washington is rated as one of North America's top Nordic Centres. Perched on the edge of Strathcona Provincial Park, the Nordic Centre features Raven Lodge, a quintessential timber-framed ski lodge with full dining, retail and rental options. XC skiers are treated to unparalleled views along 55 km of machine groomed and classic XC trails.

We also offer Fat Biking on specific snowshoe and cross-country ski trails (weather permitting), in addition to our new Fat Bike-specific trail "Marmot's Mess". The quiet serenity of Strathcona’s old-growth forests will do more for your well-being than a day at the spa. Snowshoeing at Mt. Washington will transport you to a magical wonderland featuring 22 kms of meandering trails with unexpected views. Trail passes, rentals and maps are available at Raven Lodge.

Snowshoe Fondue

A three-course West Coast version of the European classic.

The fondue begins with a amuse bouche upon arrival at your table. Continue with our cheese fondue made with local artisan cheese accompanied by sausage, cornichon, little meatballs, bread, and vegetables. Next is our rosemary-scented hot oil course served with sliced beef tenderloin, fingerling potatoes, scallops, and a variety of dips. Finally warm melted chocolate, marshmallows, orange, pretzels, and mini donuts to finish the evening.

Availability Friday and Saturday evenings December 17th- March 4th. reservations required. includes 1-hour guided tour, dinner, evening snowshoe trail pass and rentals.

Group Snowshoe Tours

Our group snowshoe tours are a great way for you to enjoy quality time with family and friends. Your guide will lead you on a 1.5-hour trek through our scenic snowshoe trail network on novice-intermediate terrain.
Includes: 1.5-hour tour, full day trail pass and rentals

Please note: Guests of all applicable ages are grouped together into one tour. We do not offer age-specific group snowshoe tours.

Winter Wonderland Tour

Wander beyond the marked trails with a guide on this 4 hour snowshoe adventure. The group will travel to one of the lakes in Strathcona Park where they can enjoy a delicious bagged lunch before heading back to the Raven Lodge. The route is based on weather and group ability so not all tours will go as far as the lakes.

Private Snowshoe Tour

Enjoy a private 1.5-hour snowshoe tour led by one of our seasons snowshoe guides. Take a leisurely walk through the forest on the Old Cabin Loop or enjoy a more advanced hike along Tree Beard’s pr Rossiter’s Rise. You guide will offer proper snowshoeing techniques, as well as educate on the local alpine flora and fauna along the way.

Can I get a refund if my ski season does not go as planned?

A) The add-on Pass Refundable Option allows you to receive a pro-rated refund or deferral of your season pass for the following reasons:

1. Medical – An injury or illness which prevents the use of the pass for the duration of the season that is valid.  The refund is not applicable for an interim injury or illness.

2. Employment Transfer – A transfer by the pass holder’s current employer requiring a change of residence off Vancouver Island and surrounding islands. The refund is not applicable when voluntarily leaving the area for work or travel.
Any family member unable to ski the remainder of the season due to your injury, illness or move, will also receive a refund provided they have purchased the refundable option. Refunds are not available for reasons outside of the list above
