The BC Seafood Festival, the largest of its kind in Western Canada, is moving to Mount Washington Alpine Resort - from June 23-25, 2023. Seafood lovers – it’s time to hook up a fantastic mountain accommodation to pair with your Festival getaway!
The Comox Valley, Vancouver Island, proudly produces 50%+ of all of British Columbia’s shellfish and the most oysters in Canada, and also is the location of the BC Seafood Festival, celebrating its 15th anniversary this June 2023.
The BC Seafood Festival (formerly the BC Shellfish Festival) began as a single-event dinner developed and hosted by the BC Shellfish Growers Association (BCSGA). Over the years the BCSGA added a second public day event that focused on increased awareness of the growing shellfish industry.

A peace dance in the mountains was shared in the summer of 2020 by the Kumugwe Cultural Society. Through sharing the songs and dances of the K’omoks and Kwakwaka’wakw peoples, the Kumugwe Dancers are able to help facilitate respect and understanding within the local community and communities abroad.
