Dear Mount Washington residents and strata executives:
By way of introduction my name is James Bast and I am the manager of fire services for the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD).
As you may have heard (or been involved with) the CVRD is currently working with a steering group of Mount Washington community members in the development of a proposed fire protection service.
The development of a new fire protection service will require electoral assent, which means that the residents and property owners of Mount Washington will have to give their permission by way of referendum. To this end it is very important that the CVRD communicate with all of the residents and property owners and to provide them with all of the information they require to make an informed decision whether to proceed with the service or not. To assist with this communication the CVRD has developed a website at www.comoxvalleyrd.ca/mtwashingtonfireproject . The CVRD has also produced the attached Handout which will provide the basic information about the project and also provides contact information for questions or further information that residents and property owners may require.
In your role as strata executives and to assist with this communication, the CVRD respectfully requests; could you please forward the website link and the Handout to all of your strata membership and any other Mount Washington residents on your contact list
Thank you in advance for your assistance with this effort. If you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact me directly.
