JOB DESCRIPTION

Mount Washington Alpine resort boasts more then ten food and beverage outlets which allows for entry level positions with hands on training as well as positions which require more experienced employees. Line cooks are employed in all locations and although specific job descriptions will vary in each department most position's duties include prep for the day including stocking of area, cooking meals to order, maintaining a clean work area as well as on going cleaning duties, and ensuring success for the following shift by stocking for the next shift/day.

Responsibilities:

  • Being on time and ready to work in full uniform fifteen minutes before scheduled shift time
  • Preparation and stocking of station for the day
  • Assist in all aspects of kitchen service
  • Creation of meals to order in a timely fashion
  • Portion control
  • Ensuring a safe work environment and compliance to Health regulations
  • Maintaining high standards of cooking and systems
  • Working well under high stress situations
  • Taking direction from shift leader
  • Completing all job requirements with out supervision
  • Maintaining a clean station and completion of daily cleaning duties
  • Preparation and stocking to ensure success of the following shift

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Time management skills
  • Minimum two years progressive experience in high volume establishment( some positions, others may have on the job training)
  • Highly motivated
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Ability to develop and work as a team ( Train-ability)
  • Food safe level 1
