JOB DESCRIPTION
Bartenders who apply to work in Ted's will have experience in relevant locations, work well under pressure, and are able to motivate co workers under stressful situations.
Bartender:
Bartenders are beverage attendants who mix and pour alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and coffee drinks for guests and servers. Bartending allows you to work as an individual as well as in a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service
- Prepare beverages using proper bartending techniques
- Practice responsible alcohol service
- Clean and maintain bar area
- Maintain/stocking inventory of bar stock and supplies
- Handle cash effectively
- Motivate co workers
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Four years relevant experience
- Legal age
- Serving it Right
- FOODSAFE and Super Host assets
- Mixology course(s) an asset
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Upselling and suggestive selling techniques
- Micros/transelect experience an asset
- Time management and multi tasking skills
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- General food and beverage knowledge
- Reconcile and balance cash to closing totals
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) an asset
