Bears - Skiing Level One

    Ability:
  • Ride any Magic Carpet.
  • Consistently snowplow stop.
  • Show balanced stance in straight run.
  • Can snowplow in control on their own

Groms - Snowboard Level One

    Ability:
  • Has ridden once before.
  • Can side slip easily with direction across on the easiest of green runs. (ie. power pendulum).
  • To be able to link toe and heel edge turns

Marmots - Skiing Level Two

    Ability:
  • Link snowplow turns on gentle terrain.
  • Familiar with riding all magic carpets
  • Do controlled turns on all green runs.
  • Stands up unassisted

Sliders - Snowboard Level Two

Mountain Kids Sliders Program at Mount Washington The Sliders Program - Terrain: Ride all green and easy blue runs and introduce the beginner park.
    Ability:
  • Can confidently link turns on all green runs.
  • Ride all green and easy blue runs
  • To be able to confidently ride on all blue runs while linking turns. Experiment with the beginner park.

Coyotes - Skiing Level Three

  • Balanced over turning ski
  • Parallel turns on all green runs
  • 50/50, plow/ parallel turns on blue runs

Shredders - Snowboard Level Three

    Ability:
  • Can do fluid linked turns on blue runs at moderate speeds
  • Consolidating skills
  • To get more performance from the board while exploring more challenging terrain. To learn basic freestyle mechanics. Become comfortable in the beginner park.

Eagles - Skiing Level Four

    Ability:
  • Show a variety of turn sizes and radiuses.
  • Show confidence on diverse terrain.
  • Displays edging skills on blue runs.

  • Show confidence in the green terrain park.

Freeriders - Snowboard Level Four

Mountain Kids Freeriders Program at Mount Washington The Freeriders Program - Designed for Tots who have achieved the skills in the Shredders Program.
    Ability:
  • Aggressive riding on all blue runs
  • Consolidating and refining skills
  • Likes to explore steeper and varied terrain
  • Show carving skills on green runs.
  • To ride switch on blue terrain. Venture into Advanced Park, moguls and challenging terrain
Please note: These levels are for childrens programs, ages 4-6

Lesson/Daycare Cancellation Policy

All lesson/daycare cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the lesson time.

You can call Snow School at 250.338 1386 ext. 672, or for Mountain Kids programs (including daycare) call ext. 675. You may also email cancellations@mountwashington.ca for cancellations only. Do not use this email for questions or bookings, use the options for each program found below. Any cancellations made after the 48-hour period, regardless of reason, will be charged a $20.00 administration fee. If another lesson/daycare date is booked at the time of cancellation, we will waive the administration fee. Refunds will not be issued for missed lessons/daycare. Students who miss lessons/daycare programs who do not contact the Mount Washington Snow School within the allotted time will be charged the full lessons/daycare programs amount, plus applicable taxes.If you are late for a lesson/daycare we will do our best to rebook for later that day. If a guest becomes ill during a lesson/daycare we will rebook the lesson/daycare for another day.
