Avalanche Awareness Day

Mount Washington Ski Patrol and Snow Safety Department will be hosting Avalanche Awareness activities as part of the Canadian Avalanche Centre's Avalanche Awareness Days, which are held annually during January in over 40 Canadian communities.

Observe rescue demonstrations located on the Whiskey Jack Flats at the base of "Go For Gold". Learn how to use an avalanche transceiver, watch snow pit demonstrations and take part in fun beacon races! There will also be a silent auction set up in front of Mountain Tech by the Eagle Chair, to raise funds for the Canadian Avalanche Center.
