The Yeti™ Mountain Snowshoe Series was founded in 2001 by Marc Campbell (formerly Cooney) and Rick Carty in response to an ever-increasing demand for managed outdoor adventure. It is Canada's first mountain snowshoe series and is open to participants at all skill levels, from beginner through advanced level athletes, who want to be outdoors and having fun.

The Yeti™ will focus on three areas of British Columbia, Vancouver Island, Whistler and the Lower mainland. This way the Yeti will be more concentrated and can focus on developing those areas to ensure growth in the sport and recreation of snowshoeing. The Yeti Snowshoe Academy™ is back with all the same programs we offered last season. The event that came out of a bad season that shows the most promise is the Yeti Ascent™, this half trail run half snowshoe will end up being the end of snowshoe season Spring Classic for years to come!
