Adult Discover Ski & Snowboarding

A good lesson can take you from an alright day on the hill to an amazing one! Mount Washington Snow School has many different lesson options to suit your individual needs. Private lessons are an excellent way to kick start your day with 2 hrs of one on one instruction and feedback. We also offer Discover skiing and snowboarding packages which include rentals, a Easy Acres lift ticket and a 2 hr beginner group lesson. We keep our class sizes small to ensure quality lessons. When its time to meet for your lesson, don’t be shy. Get to know your instructor and fill him/her in on anything that you think may be important. Never tried it, tried it once with a friend, had a previous knee injury, afraid of the chairlifts, etc. This is all important information that will help your instructor create a better experience for you. Also get to know the other people in your lesson. Chances are they might be a little nervous too. If you’re getting tired, rest for a minute and watch and learn. You can learn a lot from watching other beginners find their balance.

First Time Skiers & Riders All Inclusive Package in the Learning Zone!!

Welcome to the sport of Skiing and Snowboarding! This lesson is designed for those who have never skied or snowboarded before. This "all inclusive" package includes a Learning Zone lift ticket all the rental equipment (skis/board, boots, and poles) needed and a two hour beginner lesson. Our pros are trained by top Ski and Board Professionals and our small class sizes of five people or less will ensure you are skiing or snowboarding by the end of the lesson. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of Stance and Balance as well as discover the skills needed to stop and steer skis and snowboards down the hill.

+ Night Discover lessons are only available on Night Ski nights, which is nightly from Dec 15th to Jan 1st, and every Thurs- Sunday starting January 2, 2012. They are offered at 3pm, 5pm and if pre-booked 7:00pm

Lesson times for Adults (13+) at:

• Days - 10:00am, 11:00am or 1:00pm Monday through Friday
• Days - 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am or 1:00pm Saturday or Sunday.
• Afternoon Night - 3:00pm or 5:00pm, Thursday to Saturday plus holidays

Lesson times for Children (7-12)

• 9:30am or 1:00pm (Monday-Friday) 2.5 hours lesson
• 9:30am or 1:00pm (Weekends & holidays) 2.5 hours lesson
• 3:00pm (Thursday-Sunday night skiing evenings) 2hr lesson
• 11:00am (Weekends & holidays ) 2hr lesson
• Night - 5:00pm or 7:00pm ,Thursday to Sunday plus holidays - 2hr lesson

Note: Please arrive a minimum 1 hour prior to lesson time to allow time to pick up rentals, get dressed etc. Winter attire (gloves, hats, winter jackets & pants, sunscreen and eye protection) highly recommended.
